2 Renowned Nigerian Gospel Artistes who passed on in 2022

1. Osinachi Nwachukwu

Osinachi Nwachukwu was known widely for her gospel songs, especially ‘Ekwueme’, which touched the lives of many. She was a lead singer at the Dunamis International Gospel Centre.

However, she passed on on the 8th of April and the news of her demise was a shock to many. It was initially reported that she died of throat cancer and shortly after, her family, friends and colleagues pointed fingers at the late singer’s husband for subjecting her to domestic violence which led to her demise.

Following accusations of being responsible for Osinachi’s demise, her husband, Mr. Nwachukwu was arrested and taken to the law court later on, although he has denied having anything to do with her demise. She was finally laid to rest in her father’s compound in Abia State on Saturday, 25th of June.

2. Prince Chinedu Nwadike

Prince Chinedu Nwadike was a famous gospel singer and minister, as well as an author and actor. He was best known for his hit song, ‘God of Vengeance’. He passed away on the 27th of March after battling with blood cancer. The news of his demise was shared on social media by his very good friend, Chidera Ibekwe. However, he was buried in his family compound on the 3rd of June.
