Professor Oyedokun Godwin was born to the family of Prophetess Oluwagbenga Emmanuel & Felicia M. Oyedokun of Ekeola Compound Itutbaba Ibadan, Oyo State. He was born at exactly 1:00 pm on Monday 17th April 1978.

Starting his first formal education, he attended Ebenezer Anglican Primary School, Akingbile – Ibadan, and he went further for his secondary education at Moniya High School. He bagged his National Diploma in Financial Studies from Osun State College of Technology. Professor Oyedokun also bagged his Higher National Diploma in Accountancy. Though, he had obtained an advanced diploma certificate in Computer Techniques and Applications from the Unversity of Ibadan {Consultancy Unit} in the year 1999. His zeal and knowledge for education don’t prompt him to stop at that level; he sort and got admitted for his Bachelor of Science Education in Accounting at the Unversity of Ado – Ekiti {Now Ekiti State University}. He furthered more by attending Olabisi Onabanjo Univesity for his Masters of Business Administration with Accounting and Finance {M.SC Business and Applied Economics} and he graduated there.
