Wunmi Toriola was born on July 11, 1988, in Lagos, Nigeria, She’s from Ogun state. She is popularly called Wunmi Toriola which is derived from her name.

The actress was born into a family of four, her father is a disciplinarian to the core, and she lost her mum at a tender age.

She went to secondary school in Lagos and she is a native of Ogun state, a state situated in the South-Western part of Nigeria.

Wunmi graduated with a degree in Art at the University of Ilorin and also graduated with a diploma in Theatre Arts from Odunfa Caucus.

Wunmi Toriola started acting in 2009 at Odunfa Caucus, a Yoruba theatre group founded by Yinka Quadri, Taiwo Hassan (Ogogo), Abbey Lanre, Sunny Ali, and Razak Ajao. She won the “Fastest Rising Actress (Yoruba)” award at the City People Awards in 2018

After a few years of learning the ropes of acting, she went from being an actress to a movie producer.

And so far, she has produced 13 movies and featured in more than 100 movies since her acting career began. “Ajewunmi”, which happens to be her first movie produced in 2012, shot her to the limelight.
