BBNaija season 7: Check out the 12 housemates and their states of origin

The seventh edition of the Big Brother Naija (BBN) reality show has officially kicked off tonight, July 23, 2022. The theme for this year’s edition is “Level Up.”

Some of the housemates have been unveiled tonight, while others will be unveiled tomorrow.

Here are the housemates and their states of origin.

1. Groovy, also known as Henry

He is the first housemate to be introduced and he hails from Anambra State.

2. Beauty

She hails from Taraba State. She’s a lover and a fighter, according to her.

3. Khalid

He hails from Plateau State and he is 22 years old. Khalid said he is single but not searching.

Khalid said he is a Muslim and he won’t be caught drinking in the house.

4. Ilebaye

The fourth #BBNaijaS7 housemate is Ilebaye. She is bringing the Gen z drama. She said she is a baddie and doesn’t believe in love. She is also not a shipper. The roommate didn’t mention her state of origin.

5. Cyph

He hails from Imo State. Cyph said he’s single and ready to mingle.

6. Amaka

Amaka hails from Anambra State. She is an extremist, a lover who loves at first sight. If she loves something, she goes for it. She is going to disappoint anyone who thinks a man will win this year.

7. Kess

He is 28 years old and happily married. He said his wife gave him permission to appear on the show. He didn’t mention his state of origin.

8. Daniella

Daniella hails from Cross River. She is a poet who brings love and pure energy. She is bringing love and light by force.

9. Pharmsav

Pharmsav is also known as Savior Akpan. He hails from Akwa-Ibom State. He is a pharmacist, and he will be the medicine for the madness in the house.

10. Phyna

She’s from Edo state and is described as a short-tempered person. She said she hates gossip and she is a fighter. She is bringing drama.

11. Bryann

He’s single and ready to mingle. Bryann didn’t mention his state of origin.

12. Christy

Christy is from Ondo State. She said she is a lovable person and is very sarcastic. She is bringing everything original and spicy, but her eyes are on the price.

Renowned Nollywood actor Gideon Okeke has criticized female content creators on social media for posting pictures of themselves online.

The former Big Brother Naija housemate pointed out in a lengthy post on his Instagram page how content creators hide their relationships while exposing their most private parts under the guise of making entertainment.

He also talked about how these women use phrases like “My body is my business,” “You can look but can’t touch,” and “You can’t tell a woman what to do with her body” as compliments.

The actor continued, saying that since everyone is a vigilante on the streets, all he is doing is advocating for safer streets and the growth of better men.

Priscilla Ojo, the daughter of Iyabo Ojo, was severely rebuked by well-known journalist Kemi Olunloyo for declaring that she will never date a man who is less wealthy than her.

The young fashionista recently discussed the value of financial matching in dating relationships in a podcast.
She believes that she cannot date someone who is more financially successful than her since he would have to have the same level of drive to support her.

Her statements, however, caused quite a stir online as several people felt them to be highly provocative.

Kemi Olunloyo bashed her, pointing out that her mother dated pastors and governors when she was growing up, so it’s not all her fault but rather the result of her upbringing.

Afrobeats singer Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, better known as Mr. Eazi, has announced his marriage to Temi Otedola, an actress.

Mr. Eazi revealed that he is, in fact, married to the billionaire’s daughter in an interview with Naija 102 FM, debunking rumors that he and Temi Otedola were hiding their marriage and wedding.
He says that he didn’t keep their wedding a secret because the music video for his song “Legalize” included footage from their Venice wedding.

The singer claimed that the outfits they wore in the video went beyond simple costumes as he pleaded with viewers to see it again.

He said: “Who told you it was a secret wedding? Go and watch the video of my song ‘Legalize’ you will get the answer to your question. We shot the video in Venice.

“If you watch the video you will see proofs there. Our outfits weren’t just costumes.

Go and watch the video and you will see everything clearly. It’s just like what painters do, whenever you see their work you will see the message they’re trying to convey.

That’s how it’s with us musicians too”.
