CHILDBIRTH AND EARLY LIFE

Professor Oyedokun Godwin was born to the family of Prophetess Oluwagbenga Emmanuel & Felicia M. Oyedokun of Ekeola Compound Itutbaba Ibadan, Oyo State. He was born at exactly 1:00 pm on Monday 17th April 1978.

 

EDUCATIONAL PURSUIT

Starting his first formal education, he attended Ebenezer Anglican Primary School, Akingbile – Ibadan, and he went further for his secondary education at Moniya High School. He bagged his National Diploma in Financial Studies from Osun State College of Technology. Professor Oyedokun also bagged his Higher National Diploma in Accountancy. Though, he had obtained an advanced diploma certificate in Computer Techniques and Applications from the Unversity of Ibadan {Consultancy Unit} in the year 1999. His zeal and knowledge for education don’t prompt him to stop at that level; he sort and got admitted for his Bachelor of Science Education in Accounting at the Unversity of Ado – Ekiti {Now Ekiti State University}. He furthered more by attending Olabisi Onabanjo Univesity for his Masters of Business Administration with Accounting and Finance {M.SC Business and Applied Economics} and he graduated there. Prof Otedokun did not relent in his acquisition of knowledge. He moved on to Babcock University for his M.SC and PhD where he bagged B.Sc Accounting and Financing {First Class}. Also, Business Administration M.SC in Taxation and Fiscal Policy in Forensic Accounting and PhD in Forensic Accounting and Audit of Charisma United Kingdom, an advance certificate in Fraud Examination of South Africa Financial and Accounting Service Sector Education and Training Authority.

HIS SPIRITUAL LIFE

Godwin happens to be a Christain by religion. He has ordained an Evangelist at the Tabernacle of Prayer Church in the year 2003, and a pastor in 2006.

HIS PRESENT OFFICIAL SEATINGS

He is currently a faculty member for the supervision of postgraduate student at the Unversity of South Africa. External examiner for the undergraduate program of Accounting Department, Abia State University. He is currently a professor of Management and Accounting in the Department of Management and Accounting of LeadCity University Ibadan. He is the pioneer and current treasurer of the capital market academics of Nigeria. He is also a board member of Covenant Capital Business School.

HIS WORKS AND IMPACT IN SOME COMPANIES

He worked with Ibrahim Jimoh and Gold Chartered Accountant as a partner. He was the head of the Department of Education, Research and Technical and also the head of Finance and ICT Department of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. He has attended several local and international conferences in the last 20years with over 40professional articles. Having published 102 academic articles, he has successfully supervised 58 BSc. projects, 5PGD, 25MSc and 17completed PhD projects and was given a meritorious award of service by both the student union and Alumna Association of Osun State College of Technology.

TRADITIONAL LIFE

Professor Oyedokun has been titled Chief Otun Mayegun of Apomu Land of Owu Kingdom since the year 2013.

MARRIAGE LIFE AND FAMILY

He has been happily married to Chief Mrs Oluwabunmi Esther with their children Micheal, Philip, Esther and Emmanuel of which Micheal is a graduate of Mass Communication of Babcock University, who is also currently on his second master degree program in the department of politics and international of Lead City University, Ibadan.

Professor Oyedokun is a young but experienced multi-disciplinary scholar and a practitioner of a good repute with over 20years of experience in over 30 professional bodies.  He is an erudite professor, consummate, education and human capital development expert who has thought at all levels of education. Oyedokun has been able to prove to us that he is truly a visionary and exemplary leader. God added another age to his age on the 17th of April, 2021.
