BREAKING: Tinubu sacks NCC boss Danbatta and NIPOST CEO, announces replacements
In a significant shift that also affected the Postmaster General of the Nigeria Postal Service (NIPOST) and the CEO of Nigeria Communication Satellite Limited (NigComSat), President Bola Ahmed Tinubu sacked the leaders of the two bodies.
Umar Danbatta from his position as Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).
This is in accordance with a brief statement made on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity).
Aminu Maida will take over from Danbatta as the NCC’s EVC and CEO, according to Ajuri’s statement.

Tukur Mohammed Lawal Funtua’s successor as MD/CEO of NIGCOCOMSAT has been named as Nkechi Egerton-Idehen.
Tola Odeyemi was appointed Postmaster General and CEO of NIPOST to succeed Sunday Adepoju.
