Speaking at an event in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State, Senator Abubakar Kyari, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, revealed that the Federal Government has already asked the schools for permission, and that many of them have agreed and are eager to begin farming.

Imagine that the government decides to plant food in those open fields on campus! We can feed everyone more food in this way.

Senator Kyari claims that the government also wants to assist farmers by providing them with specialized solar-powered irrigation equipment, emphasizing that these devices run entirely on solar energy and don’t require gasoline.

According to him, the government wants farmers to do more than merely cultivate crops; instead, it wants them to process these crops into usable products like flour or orange juice.

According to the government, in this way, farmers may increase their income and we can enjoy more delectable products.

Professor Cyril Nwamguruka, who addressed selfishness as a major issue in Nigeria during his speech at the event, added that some people are overly self-centered, which results in a shortage of food.

Professor Nwamguruka requested that President Bola Tinubu choose individuals to an important positions who are not self-centered, have empathy for others, are trustworthy, and maintain well-maintained roads.
