Lady sues boyfriend for failing to marry her after ‘wasting her time’ for 8 Years

BOYFRIEND: It is not totally acceptable to venture into a relationship with someone who is not yet certain of the future. The case of the Zambia lady is an example of cases like this.

If Herbert had plans to settle, then he would have married her. That means that they were just dating for fun without knowing how they will end.

Gertrude Ngoma 26, a lady from the Gambia, sued her boyfriend for wasting her time for eight years and ending their relationship without marrying her.

She reportedly told a Zambian court that her 28-year-old boyfriend Herbert Salaliki had no intentions of getting married to her and that she ran out of patience waiting for them to officially become husband and wife.

Zambia’s new media reporter, Mwebantu, Gertrude who lives with his parents has a child with Herbert.

According to the report again, the boyfriend has since made dowry payment but is yet to marry his baby mama, who got tired of waiting and decided to sue her love for not being serious about their future.

She said that Herbert has never been serious which is why she brought him to court. She said she deserves to know the way forward and their future.

It was also gathered Ngoma doubted Hebert’s loyalty after discovering he was seeing another woman who she believes has something going on with her boyfriend.

In his defense, Hebert said he was not in the right financial position to afford a wedding and also blamed Ngoma for not giving him the needed time and attention.

The judge presiding the case advised both that reconciliation was the best way to go about the situation since there was no evidence of any marriage yet.

What if the court declares Herbert not guilty as a charge due to the fact that he didn’t promise to marry her, will she move or not?

This is the lingering question.
