Naira Marley denies signing DJ Splash to Marlian Records

Naira Marley, the controversial artist from Nigeria, has refuted reports that DJ Splash was contracted to his record company, Marlian Music.

Nigerians have been criticizing and accusing Naira Marley after the passing of Mohbad, a former signee.

After Mohbad’s passing, some worried fans raised the alarm, claiming that DJ Splash, a rumored Marlian Music collaborator, went insane after consuming drugs supplied by the Marlian crew.

Naira Marley called the charges “lies” and refuted the claim by saying that the DJ was not at his residence when he first began experiencing mental health issues.

It was learned that in a viral tape, DJ Splash’s mother claimed that Naira Marley had invited her son to live with him and had pledged to pay for his college tuition.

Marley eventually let DJ Splash down, she said, and she claimed that her son has become “mentally unstable” since leaving his home. Marley, however, denied assertions that DJ Splash was his official DJ or a member of his music label in an interview with Reno Omokiri.

He said, “DJ Splash was never signed to Marlian Music; I know him as a DJ, but he has never deejayed with me at shows or anything, it is not like he is my DJ.

They just gave him the title because I have a picture with him,” he said. “When whatever happened to him, he was not at my house, and I do not understand where all this is coming from.

“DJ Splash, DJ whatever, I do not understand where it is coming from, that is all lies, they are just bringing out people from nowhere to tell lies.”
