RAPE: Two arrested for gang-raping and filming 19-year-old girl in Ogun state

RAPE: Raping has been a prevalent issue,  recently, it had been a thing of abnormality that people will just conspire to rape and ruin people’s lives.

It is of concern to the government to look into it and address the issue so as to abort such doing amongst people in the country.

Damilare Oyeniyi and Emmanuel Okori who are 30/20 years respectively are identified as two rapists, they have been arrested and charged by the Ogun state police command for allegedly gang-raping a 19-year-old girl and filming her nude.

It was on the 12 of December that this incident took place in the Sango area of the state, they were arrested four days later by policemen attached by the Sango Divisional police Office.

Ogun police spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi said the suspects were arrested following a report lodged at the Sango Police Station by the victim who is their neighbor.

Oyeyemi added.

“Upon the report, the DPO Sango Division, CSP Godwin Idehai, detailed his detectives to go after the suspects and bring them to book.

“The investigative effort of the detectives paid off on December 16, 2020, when the duo was eventually arrested.

“On interrogation, the two suspects confessed to the crime.

“They confessed that they videoed her nude, which they used to threaten her not to report or else the video would be posted on social media.

“The state Commissioner of Police, Edward Ajogun, has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to the Anti-Human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation and prosecution

Great lessons will be seen and others will make corrections for any illicit affairs that will be carried out.
