Chinese Super League side, Shanghai Shenua, are ready to sell Nigerian forward, Odion Ighalo, who’s on loan at Manchester United.

The former Watford goal poacher’s time at Old Trafford is coming towards an end and is now spoilt with numerous options to choose from as regards his next team.

The 31-year-old joined the Red Devils in January 2020 from Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua on an initial six month deal but extended it by a further six months.

He enjoyed a brilliant start to life at Manchester but fell down the pecking order after the football restart.

The Chinese side have now decided to part ways with the AFCON 2019 highest goalscorer, ending their three year affair.

The Ajegunle born admitted that he’s up to taking up new challenge and which may be in the MLS.

A host of clubs have contacted Ighalo’s representatives, but the former Super Eagles forward will prefer to remain in the Premier League.

One of Ighalo’s representatives told BBC Sport:
“I can confirm that some Premier League clubs, two teams outside of England and some clubs in the Middle East have made formal enquiries.

“Of course, he said [in an interview] that the MLS could be interesting, but that is just an option outside of the strong interest received so far.

“For now, he’s still a Man United player on loan from China where he still has a contract. He could stay in England where his family is based or try something new because he has many options to mull over.”

Ighalo has scored five goals in 23 appearance for the Ole Gunnar Solksjaer led side.
