“We have helped Mr Ibu in the past, but since it’s a recurring illness, he has to sort himself out” – Kate Henshaw on behalf of AGN
The P.R.O. of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), well-known actress Kate Henshaw, responds to allegations made by Mr. Ibu’s wife that the organization hasn’t assisted him.

The veteran actress noted that in times of need either financially or medically, the group has always been there to support its members.
She countered the false allegation that Mr. Ibu’s wife had been spreading, saying that the Guild had been supporting the actor during his illness since 2021.
According to Kate Henshaw, the guild can only take so much action in circumstances of recurrent illness; in these cases, the person must now attempt to take care of themselves by obtaining more funding for their medical needs.

She said in part;
“Let me state categorically and vehemently that AGN has been of help to Mr Ibu. I do understand that she is at her wit’s end; anybody would be, but to say AGN lied isn’t true”.
