We’re waiting to hear from Bella Shmurda” – Nigerian Police say

The Nigeria Police Force’s PRO, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, claims that they are awaiting word on Mohbad’s passing from Bella Shmurda.

The PRO of the police claims that the information that the late rapper Mohbad’s close friend, singer Bella Shmurda, will provide to them will help their investigation.

Fast-rising rapper Mohbad was said to have passed away on Tuesday in a contentious way.

The singer’s death is the subject of an inquiry, according to a statement released by the authorities on Thursday.

The police agency has also urged anyone with important information to come forward, especially the musician’s friends and family.

Bella Shmurda was given a 48-hour deadline on Saturday by notorious self-styled investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo to contact the police and report what she saw.

“Bella Shmurda,” she wrote on her X (fka Twitter) account. “I’m giving you 48 hours to report to @PoliceNG and speak with @Princemoye1 or to force CID Ikoyi.”

Adejobi, a police spokesperson, quoted her message with the comment, “I am expecting to hear from him.”

In an interview, Bella Shmurda stated that following a fight with Naira Marley’s record label, Marlian Music, Mohbad made an attempt on his life. Additionally, he asserted that the late artist was under threat.
