104-year-old woman dies days after going skydiving to break Guinness World Record
According to The New York Times, Dorothy Hoffner, an American woman who just broke the record for the oldest skydiver, peacefully died on Monday at her home in Chicago. Dorothy was 104 years old.
On October 1, Dorothy Hoffner, the renowned centenarian who received great popularity for her incredible skydiving journey, performed a daring jump from an airplane at the Skydive Chicago Airport, shattering the record for the oldest tandem parachute jump.
A 103-year-old Swedish woman from the previous year held the previous record for this feat.
Dorothy Hoffner, despite her elderly age, said that skydiving was a quiet and joyful experience.
She told the Chicago Sun-Times that when she landed in Ottawa, which is about 80 miles southwest of Chicago, “There was nothing frightening about it. It was pleasant and tranquil.

Staff at the Brookdale Lake View senior living facility discovered Ms. Hoffner dead, according to her friend Joe Conant. It’s thought that she passed away on Sunday night.
A representative for the US Parachute Association and Skydive Chicago expressed their honor that Hoffner’s final plunge brought to an end her “exciting, well-lived life.”
They said, “Skydiving is an activity that many of us place on our bucket lists for safekeeping, but Dorothy reminds us that it’s never too late to embrace the thrill of a lifetime.”
According to The New York Times, Ms. Hoffner was first “not excited” about the media attention she received the previous week.
Her attitude shifted as the weekend drew near, and she began to see it as a chance to meet new people.
The cause of Ms. Hoffner’s death has not yet been determined, according to a nurse who had known her for about five years.

The actor continued, saying that since everyone is a vigilante on the streets, all he is doing is advocating for safer streets and the growth of better men.

Afrobeats singer Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, better known as Mr. Eazi, has announced his marriage to Temi Otedola, an actress.
