Rotimi Akeredolu, the governor of Ondo State, is said to have been greeted upon his return from a three-month medical vacation in Germany on Thursday.

Sources claim that the governor arrived at his home in Ibadan, Oyo State, on Thursday afternoon just as an image of him boarding a flight became viral online.

In June, Governor Akeredolu left Nigeria for Germany because of an unspecified sickness that required medical attention.

Doctors’ recommendations that the governor required additional time to heal led the state House of Assembly, however, to reportedly extend his leave.

In order to focus on his medical journey, the governor temporarily withdrew from the affairs of the state government and delegated authority to his deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

Tomorrow, Friday, the governor will meet with members of the state Executive Council and top party leaders in his home in Ibadan after his return.

The Governor will also likely receive a briefing from the members of his cabinet, who will be led by Lucky Ayedatiwa, the acting governor, after which he would likely remain in Lagos for a few weeks before returning to work completely.

On her Facebook page, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, the First Lady, confirmed the development and stated that they were “Homebound.”

In a similar vein, a source who told newsmen that the governor was returning made a comment saying:
Yes, I can confirm to you that the Eagle has landed and his executive members are meeting with him on Friday at his residence in lbadan.

The governor would receive briefing from them led by his deputy, Lucky Ayedatiwa. He would be staying for some time in lbadan before resuming fully for work.

The governor would write to the state House of Assembly before resuming from duties.

In the meantime, Governor Akeredolu congratulated President Bola Tinubu on the PEPT decision upholding his victory in the presidential election on February 25.

Also commended on the victory was Akeredolu’s party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In his words, President Tinubu’s administration’s fresh hope agenda and the people’s mandate were both validated by the PEPT judgment.

Richard Olatunde, his chief press secretary, issued the following statement in Akure:

This judgement has again deepened our nation’s jurisprudence and solidified our commitment to democratic values.

As true democrats, we must embrace the tents of democracy which also encompass post election litigations.

Our struggle for service must also fuel our reverence for democratic values.

The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal has dispensed justice. Now is the time to come together and build our nation.”

Akeredolu said that “The renewed hope drive of President Tinubu is anchored on assurance of a paradigm shift.

The result of the February 25 presidential poll upheld by the Tribunal represents the will of majority of Nigerians, who voted massively for the APC.

Our Judiciary has again lived up to expectations. It has reaffirmed our belief that it remains the last hope of the masses.

We must collectively commend the pivotal role our Judiciary has played in enriching our democracy and upholding justice.

Notwithstanding our days in court, we urge the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and the Labour Party candidate, Mr Peter Obi, to sheathe their swords and join hands with the President to develop the country.

The Tribunal verdict should be accepted in good faith by all lovers of democracy. Our commitment to advancing the national project must be built on national interest which prioritises the good of the people above personal victory.

Since our collective vision is shaped by our passion for a prosperous nation, let us, therefore, embrace the will of the people and support the President in delivering on his Renewed Hope agenda.”

Akeredolu urged Nigerians to refrain from divisive politics and remarks, saying that election-related issues shouldn’t compromise the country’s unity.

The pastor explained in an Instagram video that, despite what is commonly believed, men need women by their sides in addition to their marriages.
He disclosed the four key reasons for side chicks’ importance.

The first explanation offered by the pastor was stupidity. He said that having side chicks is the finest way for a man to look dumb.

In response to a question about why guys are still searching for Coke after they have one, he pointed out that Coke in a bottle, can, or plastic is still Coke.

He identified premature death as the second reason why males require a side chick.

According to the preacher, a guy who wishes to pass away too soon must overwork his heart and stuff his body with unnecessary items.

He mentioned shame and embarrassment as additional reasons. A man who enjoys dishonor and shame, according to him, needs a side chick because that’s what he will eventually get.

According to him, a man should only require a side chick if he enjoys difficulty and turmoil.
