Criticising Buhari will not stop us from winning election in 2023, says APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said sustained criticisms of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would not earn the opposition party return to power in 2023.
National Secretary, Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) APC, Sen. John J. Akpan Udoedehe made the declaration on Tuesday in a press statement.
Senator Udoedehe was reacting to Monday’s statement by the spokesman of the PDP, Kola Ologbodiyan where he dismissed the APC-led federal government as a monumental failure.
The Secretary of the APC Caretaker team who detailed the achievements of the Buhari administration further claimed that Nigerians were not willing to return to the 16 years of PDP administration when the collective patrimony of all Nigerians was looted by a few.
The statement read in part: “PDP has decided to play to the gallery in an attempt to play deniability and take away the gaze of Nigerians from the remarkable strides which the APC-led Administration of President Muhammadu Buhari is carrying out amidst very trying circumstances. Nigerians are aware that due to the monumental sleaze and leakages of our collective patrimony actively supervised by PDP, the current administration of PMB inherited an empty treasury, coupled with the global decline in oil prices since 2014, which significantly trimmed the well-laid-out plans of the APC administration.
This is elementary economics. When your expenditure outstrips the supply of goods in the economy, inflation will occur in the long run. Just as we were able to pull through, Covid-19 came calling with worldwide economic ramifications. Nigerians understand that this was beyond us. Be that as it may, PMB went to work immediately by putting in place building blocks for a virile and sustainable Nigeria; economically, agriculturally, in the ease of doing business initiatives, infrastructural renaissance, the power sector reforms, in anti-corruption, social investment programs, and of course in building strong institutions that will outlive the present Administration.
At the moment, these facts speak for themselves: The Treasury Single Account (TSA) is in operation and has successfully curbed the excesses of government officials who may be prone to graft.
“The government has successfully aligned the budget cycle with the JAN-DEC budget window to allow for better delivery of benefits to Nigerians.
“The ease of doing business initiatives as implemented by PEBEC has propelled Nigeria’s ranking (moving down 13th place) in the Ease of Doing Businesses Ranking as published by the World Bank Group in 2020. In simple terms, this means that Nigeria is the 131st attractive country for investment out of a survey of 190 countries as against 145th it was placed in 2018.
“The 326km Itakpe-Ajaokuta-Warri railway (with stations) which has been abandoned for more than 30 years is in full operations with modern coaches.
“The 156.5km Lagos-Ibadan double track standard rail line is now in operation. Evidence abounds. A lot of other rail lines are underway, with varying funding needs due to the PDP’s recklessness in times of abundance.
“In the power sector, the APC-led administration is battling the reversal of years of neglect despite the billions of dollars sunk into the cesspool of corruption in the sector; the 3050 MW Mambilla Power Project, conceptualized over 30 years ago is now receiving concrete attention. Imagine if all these had been done in the years when excess revenues were at the disposal of PDP!
The Siemens Presidential Power Initiative of this administration seeks to ramp up the nation’s entire Electricity Value-Chain (Generation, Transmission, and Distribution) and add about 25,000 MW of electricity to Nigeria. This will be fundamental to the growth of the manufacturing sector.
“The metering solutions and the solar home systems are initiatives that are people-centered which seeks off-grid solutions to our energy problems by providing power to the rural areas to trigger economic activities by stemming rural-urban migration. Similar interventions in some of the popular markets, tertiary educational and medical facilities are fully functional while some are at advanced stages of completion.
“The Social Intervention Programs of this administration is massive and unprecedented. These include the 774,000 SPW program of NDE, supervised by the Federal Ministry of Labour which kicks off January 5th, 2021, the N-Power scheme that has accommodated over 500,000 beneficiaries thus far and another 1 million beneficiaries about to be engaged, the Trader-Moni, Market-Moni, and the Schoolfeeding Programme are all targeted at the poor.
The various stimulus packages encapsulated in the Economic Sustainability Plans of this administration are designed to re-jig the economy which has been dulled by the consequences of the dreaded Covid-19 pandemic with its attendant bottoming out of oil prices and the concomitant loss of revenues for Nigeria, yet, despite this force majeure, this administration is not owing salaries and is consistently bailing out states so that no Nigerian is owed salary irrespective of political leanings.
“So, with the monumental interventions which President Muhammadu Buhari is carrying out, which has leap-frogged Nigeria to the largest economy in Africa and the 25th largest economy in the world (according to the IMF Report 2020), why would PDP be deluding itself that Nigerians want it back? Is it a case of selective amnesia or mere rabble-rousing? For the umpteenth time, APC states that it wishes not to be distracted from its focus of delivering on its promises to Nigerians amidst very difficult circumstances, while at the same time, righting the wrongs done by PDP against Nigeria and Nigerians.”

Don’t accept wike’s deceptive Financial bribe- IPOB warns IMO communities

The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB has warned the people of Ohaji Local Government Area of Imo State against ceding their land to Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State.
IPOB cautioned the people of Ohaji against accepting Wike’s alleged satanic and deceptive financial inducement.
Emma Powerful, the spokesman of IPOB, issued the warning in reaction to an alleged illegal and undocumented ceding of communities in Ohaji Local Government Area to Wike.
Powerful warned that ceding their communities to Wike would affect their children’s future; hence such a deceptive move should be rejected.
He urged the communities to treat whoever is persuading them to change their state of origin as a criminal.
Powerful noted that accepting to change their state of origin for the sake of N150,000 monthly is evil.
A statement by Powerful reads partly: “Following an illegal undocumented treaty to cede communities of Ohaji Egbema LGA from Imo State to Rivers State via a crooked financial inducement by current Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike.
“We the global family and movement of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) under the command and leadership of our great leader Mazi Nnamdi KANU wish to warn that such project is called to a halt to avert inevitable consequences.
“We suggest to the communities that fall into this deceptive venture masterminded by Nyesom Wike to retrace their steps, considering that this singular act could attract futuristic destructive effects.
“IPOB was intimated with the information regarding Governor Wike’s plan, which includes conditional future promises and haven gone through these moves realized that Wike will abandon them in future because governor Wike cannot be in charge of Rivers State beyond his tenor as a current Governor.
“It is a known fact that the Imo State government failed in their obligations as it concerns the predicaments they are facing in that area, but they must forget Wike with his satanic offer. Wike’s deceptive offer would harm them and their children in the future as such may not be sustainable by successive governments. Moreover, the Biafra restoration approaches hastily.
“IPOB is advising them to retrace their steps and watch what God Almighty has in stock for them; changing God Almighty’s plans for children will harm the communities in the future, for God to have placed you where you are today does not mean that he has abandoned you.
“The communities or anybody persuading them to change their State of origin identity and be acquired like slaves with cash value of N150 (One Hundred and Fifty Naira Only) is evil and must be treated as criminal because we don’t see where old men and women, youths and educated people would allow such an undocumented territorial treaty due to hunger and abandonment.”

2023 elections: Pastor David Ibiyeomie tells Nigerians who to vote

Pastor David Ibiyeomieof Salvation Ministries has addressed Nigerians on those to vote ahead of the 2023 general elections
Ibiyeomie urged Nigerians to vote for politicians with a vision for the country and not a politician.
He gave the remark while addressing his members at the church’s headquarters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Pastor David Ibiyeomie noted that anyone who collects money to vote in the forthcoming election sold their conscience, stressing that electorates should vote for a statesman.
According to Ibiyeomie: “If you take money to vote, then you have sold your conscience. When we are shouting, you people will say I don’t shout. I am shouting now. Don’t collect bribes to vote, vote for your conscience.
“Don’t vote party again in Nigeria; vote for someone who has a vision. Nigeria is in the woods; she needs someone who has a vision.
“No politician should be voted; vote for a statesman instead. A statesman thinks of the next generation, a politician thinks only of the 2023 general elections.”

Interpol arrests three Nigerians for international scam

The International Police (INTERPOL) has arrested three Nigerians over alleged global scam.
The trio were arrested in a sting operation conducted simultaneously in a Lagos suburb, Ajegunle and in Benin City, 300 km to the East of the commercial capital.
One of the scammers, Hendrix Omorume has been charged and convicted and now faces a 12-month prison sentence.
The three men, aged between 31 and 38, were each arrested in possession of fake documents, including fraudulent invoices and forged official letters.
The investigation was conducted in conjunction with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The operation is part of a global operation codenamed “Killer Bee” involving INTERPOL National Central Bureaus (NCBs) and law enforcement in 11 countries across Southeast Asia.
According to INTERPOL’s Director of Cybercrime, Craig Jones, the organisation had “to alert Nigeria to a serious security threat where millions could have been lost without swift police action.”
The laptops and mobile phones seized by EFCC during the arrests, were examined by the INTERPOL to help confirm the systematic use of “Agent Tesla” malware to access business computers and divert monetary transactions to their own accounts.
