List of Artistes That Left YBNL After Becoming Celebrities

Formally, YBNL tends to be an acronym for Yahoo Boys No Laptop, and it is a music record label headed and owned by Olamide Adedeji (Olamide Badoo). YBNL record label came to existence in the year 2012 and the label have been signing numerous artists since them. But today, we are going to note the artists that left YBNL after they made fame.

1. Opeyemi Babatunde Rahim (Lyta)

Opeyemi Babatunde Rahim popularly known as Lyta was signed to YBNL in the year 2018. After the release of 5tracks and a debut album; he left YBNL in the year 2019. Many of his fans were not happy with his decision to leave YBNL, but he said he had no choice. Presently, he is said to Marlians Record Label which is headed and owned by Azeez Fashola (Naira Marley).

2.Omogblahan Sodiq Ilabode (Picazo Rhap)

Picazo Rhap was also signed to YBNL alongside Lyta in the year 2018, and he left on the 9th of July, 2019. He left the label after releasing some few tracks. He is presently signed to Senior Boyz Records which is headed by Olatunbosun Olaonipekun (Trod).

3. Shokoya Oluwasegunfunmi (Davolee)

Davolee was officially signed to YBNL in the year 2016. He dropped bars back to back till 2019, when he gave up and said he wants to withdraw his appointment with YBNL. He is currently not under any label.

4. Adekunle Kosoko (Adekunle Gold)

Adekunle Gold was signed to YBNL in the year 2015 and he left in the year 2016 to further his music pursuit upon being a celebrity at that time. Presently is not under any record label.

And the last person on the list is 🔻 🔻 🔻

5. Keshinro Ololade (Lil Kesh)

Lil Kesh was also signed to YBNL in the year 2016, and he left the label on the 29th of November, 2018 to set up his own record label. He succeeded in doing that and his label name is Young And Getting It (YAGI).

Every artist on this list grew their fan base through YBNL and were all celebrities before exiting YBNL.

Renowned Nollywood actor Gideon Okeke has criticized female content creators on social media for posting pictures of themselves online.

The former Big Brother Naija housemate pointed out in a lengthy post on his Instagram page how content creators hide their relationships while exposing their most private parts under the guise of making entertainment.

He also talked about how these women use phrases like “My body is my business,” “You can look but can’t touch,” and “You can’t tell a woman what to do with her body” as compliments.

The actor continued, saying that since everyone is a vigilante on the streets, all he is doing is advocating for safer streets and the growth of better men.

Priscilla Ojo, the daughter of Iyabo Ojo, was severely rebuked by well-known journalist Kemi Olunloyo for declaring that she will never date a man who is less wealthy than her.

The young fashionista recently discussed the value of financial matching in dating relationships in a podcast.
She believes that she cannot date someone who is more financially successful than her since he would have to have the same level of drive to support her.

Her statements, however, caused quite a stir online as several people felt them to be highly provocative.

Kemi Olunloyo bashed her, pointing out that her mother dated pastors and governors when she was growing up, so it’s not all her fault but rather the result of her upbringing.

Afrobeats singer Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, better known as Mr. Eazi, has announced his marriage to Temi Otedola, an actress.

Mr. Eazi revealed that he is, in fact, married to the billionaire’s daughter in an interview with Naija 102 FM, debunking rumors that he and Temi Otedola were hiding their marriage and wedding.
He says that he didn’t keep their wedding a secret because the music video for his song “Legalize” included footage from their Venice wedding.

The singer claimed that the outfits they wore in the video went beyond simple costumes as he pleaded with viewers to see it again.

He said: “Who told you it was a secret wedding? Go and watch the video of my song ‘Legalize’ you will get the answer to your question. We shot the video in Venice.

Go and watch the video and you will see everything clearly. It’s just like what painters do, whenever you see their work you will see the message they’re trying to convey.

That’s how it’s with us musicians too”.
