The 10 Richest Families In Nigeria- Forbes

Just like the richest kids in the world, there are also the richest families in the world, currently, Forbes has revealed the list of the richest families in Nigeria for the year.

1_BRIGGS FAMILY.

The first one here is the Briggs family, the head of the family is Chief Olu Benson Lulu Briggs. He is the founder of Moni Polu limited. MPL is a private oil and gas company owned by one of the richest men in the world.

This company is located at port Harcourt, it has one of the branches in Lagos and London, it is known for its expertise and gas exploration in the Niger Delta.

Lulu Briggs has a wife name Seinye Lulu Briggs, she’s one of the most richest and influential women in the world. She is the chief executive officer of Rachael Hotels company.

She had previously worked in the civil service before entering the business sector.

2_IBRU FAMILY

If Ibru’s family is not mentioned in the world among the richest family, then, it is not complete.

Ibru has a company with Rich employees, recall that the family was founded in 1952

Business spring from oil and gas, aviation, shipping, banking, and agric sector.

Before the company was established, he worked for the United African company from 1951_1956 before going into partnership with Jimmy large.

He was also an ex-minister of internal affairs between 1993 and 1995 and also a one time Governor of Delta State.

Prince Molade Okoya Thomas is the head and brain behind Okaya’s family. He was the chairman of the CFAO company, though he is late his memories linger.

He studied at the prestigious Columbia University in Newyork in 1951.

After his graduation, he returned to Nigeria to work as an account in CFAO before rising to the chairmanship spot.

He has worked as a director In Transcap Nigeria Limited, NFI insurance PLC, gateway bank insurance PLC and Niger motors industries limited.

4_DANTATA FAMILY.

Dantata family is one of the richest family in Nigeria, this powerful family is related to Alingo Dangote’s family.

It all started with Alhansan Dantata who started by selling cola nuts. When he was alive, he was one of the wealthiest men in the world.

5_FAJEMIROKUN FAMILY.

Fajemirakun family is one of the wealthiest families in Nigeria with tons of achievements and assets scattered all over the country.

He is one of the richest men in the country with a net worth of over $30 million according to Forbes.

His wife is Olureme Tinubu, another influential figure in the family, she’s currently serving as a senator in Nigeria.

8_SARAKI FAMILY.

Saraki family is synonymous with the Tinubu family, a politically inclined people with great achievements and assets in the country.

Olusola, Bukola, and Ghemisola Makati are all the prominent members of the family.

9_ FOLAWIYO FAMILY.

FOLAWIYO family is progenited by Wohab FOLAWIYO, a name to call out because of its influence and features.

He deals in shipping, agriculture, and real estate. His son is managing the FOLAWIYO group.

10_IGBINEDION FAMILY.

The last and never the list family is the Igbinedion family, very important to the Benin people.

The progenitor of the family is Gabriel Igbinedion. He is the Esama of Benin, he owns the chieftaincy title in the community. This title makes them rank as one of the richest families in Nigeria

The young fashionista recently discussed the value of financial matching in dating relationships in a podcast.
She believes that she cannot date someone who is more financially successful than her since he would have to have the same level of drive to support her.

Her statements, however, caused quite a stir online as several people felt them to be highly provocative.

Kemi Olunloyo bashed her, pointing out that her mother dated pastors and governors when she was growing up, so it’s not all her fault but rather the result of her upbringing.

“I intentionally didn’t pick his calls” – Tosin breaks down after losing father

Nigerian blogger Tosin “Silverdam” Damolekun has admitted to feeling guilty for purposely ignoring his father’s calls up until his passing.

After a protracted illness, the media personality’s elderly father passed away, leaving him saddened.

On his own Instagram profile, the blogger shared a video of his father’s casket being slowly lowered into the earth while a preacher offered prayers over it.

In another clip, he included a video of some men carrying the casket to the grave they had dug for it.

The circumstances behind his father’s death were disclosed by Tosin Silverdam. He claimed that his father passed away due to an ulcer.

The blogger subsequently said in an article that he grieved when he realized his father was never going to return and had to put sand on his coffin.

Tosin claimed to have spoken with his father just two days before he passed away.

He even made plans to visit them and offer them supplies and a deep freezer he had bought for his mother.

The socialite disclosed that he had even bought his father some medication the day before he passed away and was intentionally not answering his calls since he knew he wanted to thank him.

He wrote, “That feeling when they are burying your father and you have to pour sand on his grave. I Cried, Like I Cried. That was when it dawned on me.”

Online buzz has been sparked by a masquerade that refused to whip a Nigerian military soldier.

Certain masquerades have a well-deserved reputation for whipping bystanders with their whips.

Nevertheless, given its persistent refusal to come into contact with the soldier, this masquerade gives the impression that it respects established authority.

The military man is heard challenging the masquerade to a fight during their conversation, but the masquerade declines, questioning why he should beat his oga.

The masquerade continues by saying that he was part of the group that performed a dance for him the day before.

The soldier laughed at this, telling the masquerade that he would have received a proper lesson if he had whipped him.
