Teni Apata recently told a touching story about her connection with her sister, Niniola, on an edition of the Tea With Tay podcast.

They had misunderstood each other regarding Teni’s singing sound at first. But as they set off on a joint musical adventure, their relationship got stronger, and they turned into each other’s biggest fans.

Teni and her sisters would frequently practice together when they were little.

Niniola had a different opinion from their eldest sister, Doyin, who appreciated Teni’s sweet voice. Teni’s voice, in her opinion, lacked softness.

Teni was initially led to believe that Niniola was envious of her brilliance due to this disagreement in viewpoints.

Niniola once walked over to Teni and struck up a serious discussion with her. She reminded Teni that Teni sings from her stomach and cautioned her not to be fooled by Doyin’s flattery.

Teni was intrigued by Niniola’s suggestions, so she began to study her sister’s singing style and started adding it into her performances.

Teni’s participation in a school event and her spellbinding performance were crucial moments. Teni was elated and satisfied after the cheers from the entire school.

She hurried home to inform her sister about the audience’s enthusiastic response since she was eager to tell Niniola about her triumph.

Niniola surprised her by not only listening intently but also applauding her.

Their relationship was strengthened by this show of love and encouragement, and Teni realized they were starting something special.

Teni and Niniola kept encouraging one another’s artistic endeavors in the years that followed, sharing victories and offering helpful criticism.
