American rapper and singer Lauryn Hill has addressed the belief held by her followers that she is frequently late for performances once more.

During her most recent appearance in Los Angeles on Saturday night, the singer celebrated the 25th anniversary of her debut album, “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,” by performing live.

She said that her fans are fortunate that she can attend her shows and entertain them each night.

Even though she acknowledged the lateness, the 48-year-old singer and member of Fugees was also a little late to the Los Angeles performance.

She said, “Yo, y’all lucky I make it on this blood ras stage every night,” Hill told the crowd. “I don’t do it because they let me do it. I do it because I stand here in the name of God, and I do it. God is the one who allows me to do it, who surrounded me with family and community when there was no support.”

She continued, “When the album sold so many records, and no one showed up and said, ‘Hey, would you like to make another one?’ So, I went around the world, and I played the same album over and over and over and over again. Because we are survivors, and we’re not just survivors, we’re thrivers.”

Remember that Hill had previously talked about her habit of keeping supporters waiting back in 2020.

Accordingto reports, she used her Facebook page to clarify that her being late wasn’t caused by a lack of concern for her followers. Rather, she stated that she focuses on “aligning her energy” with the current situation.

“I don’t show up late to shows because I don’t care,” she wrote.

“And I have nothing but Love and respect for my fans. The challenge is aligning my energy with the time, taking something that isn’t easily classified or contained, and trying to make it available for others.

I don’t have an on/off switch. I am at my best when I am open, rested, sensitive and liberated to express myself as truthfully as possible,” she said.

Renowned Nollywood actor Gideon Okeke has criticized female content creators on social media for posting pictures of themselves online.

The former Big Brother Naija housemate pointed out in a lengthy post on his Instagram page how content creators hide their relationships while exposing their most private parts under the guise of making entertainment.

He also talked about how these women use phrases like “My body is my business,” “You can look but can’t touch,” and “You can’t tell a woman what to do with her body” as compliments.

The actor continued, saying that since everyone is a vigilante on the streets, all he is doing is advocating for safer streets and the growth of better men.

The young fashionista recently discussed the value of financial matching in dating relationships in a podcast.
She believes that she cannot date someone who is more financially successful than her since he would have to have the same level of drive to support her.

Her statements, however, caused quite a stir online as several people felt them to be highly provocative.

Kemi Olunloyo bashed her, pointing out that her mother dated pastors and governors when she was growing up, so it’s not all her fault but rather the result of her upbringing.

Afrobeats singer Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, better known as Mr. Eazi, has announced his marriage to Temi Otedola, an actress.

Mr. Eazi revealed that he is, in fact, married to the billionaire’s daughter in an interview with Naija 102 FM, debunking rumors that he and Temi Otedola were hiding their marriage and wedding.
He says that he didn’t keep their wedding a secret because the music video for his song “Legalize” included footage from their Venice wedding.

The singer claimed that the outfits they wore in the video went beyond simple costumes as he pleaded with viewers to see it again.
